New Extended-Absence Approval form
If you are planning for your student(s) to be absent from school for five consecutive days or longer, we have a new pre-approved absence form. This is a new form being used in all our Northshore schools. Family vacations are not part of the reasons we can approve absences, but there is one that names Principal pre-approval of an activity. I am happy to work with you, but we do need the forms submitted at least a week before the absences.
The new form is printed and ready in the office. If you'd like it electronically, please reach out to Ms. Teri Negrin (tnegrin@nsd.org) in the front office. Thank you!
Kindergarten Registration for 2024-2025 opens January 8!
Dear Northshore Families and Prospective Families:
New student enrollment, including Kindergarten, for the 2024-25 school year begins on January 8, 2024. Families who have students currently enrolled in a Northshore school this school year do not need to re-enroll, but we would appreciate it if you would please share this information with friends, family, and neighbors who may have new students.
Enrollment is completed online. Directions on how to enroll, including what documentation is required, can be found on the District enrollment webpage. The webpage will be updated on January 8 to reflect 2024-25 enrollment.
By enrolling in early January for the 2024-25 school year, there are a number of benefits:
- Connection to your child’s school community including information about school tours and Kindergarten events; and
- Early enrollment helps the district correctly staff classrooms, services, and prepare for great learning environments for our students.
Choice School applications will open on January 22, 2024 for all students. In addition to excellent neighborhood schools, Northshore offers a variety of choice schools and programs. A choice school may be exactly what your child needs to thrive academically and socially. Students will be invited to apply directly to our Choice Schools. To learn more about Northshore’s Choice School options visit our Choice School webpage.
If you need help enrolling your child or children for school, please contact your child’s future school for enrollment information and support. Your neighborhood school is based on your home address. You can find your child’s neighborhood school by using the Address Look Up Tool.

Paint & PJs from December 5
It was so fun seeing everyone dressed in their coziest attire, showing off their creativity! We had a great turnout and served over 200 cookies, 100 cups of cocoa, 20 cups of cider, and collected 126 works of art. We love seeing our Sailors come together at our community events. The masterpieces were delivered to classrooms just in time to make it home in time for winter break.
Thank you to Redmond Art Works and our volunteers who helped make Paint and PJs a huge success!
